As Product Owner for Suncorp’s Internet Banking platform, I was responsible for shaping the strategic roadmap and delivering key digital capabilities to over 250,000 monthly users. I worked across cross-functional squads to translate business goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements into scalable, user-centric solutions. My role demanded a deep understanding of technical systems, cybersecurity risks, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders toward a common product vision.​

  • Owned and prioritised a multi-year Internet Banking roadmap, using a mix of user interviews, behavioural analytics, and competitive benchmarking to guide delivery decisions.

  • Continuously improved workflows and usability by incorporating real customer feedback, surfacing friction points via complaints and telemetry data.

  • Aligned platform enhancements with broader business strategy and regulatory change initiatives, ensuring roadmap cohesion.

  • Collaborated cross-functionally with engineering, design, legal, risk, and marketing to deliver technically sound and user-friendly solutions that met compliance obligations and improved experience.

  • Contributed to strategic planning, synthesising customer insights and regulatory change to shape upcoming features.

  • Advocated for the voice of the customer in all planning forums, making sure enhancements drove measurable, meaningful outcomes.

  • Led discovery workshops and scoped features via direct user feedback, call centre insights, and compliance pain points.

  • Developed robust business cases linking customer value with business impact, championing features like PayID for Business and Payments on Hold—solutions that enhanced security and fraud mitigation.

  • Collaborated with developers and designers to test hypotheses, run usability sessions, and translate insights into refined UX flows and micro-interactions.

  • Partnered with risk and security teams to shape features with cybersecurity, compliance, and platform resilience in mind.

Key Contributions:
 

  • Product Backlog Management: Took ownership of an outdated backlog of ~1,000 Jira stories and bug tickets that had not been groomed for over a year. Partnered with the squad and Product Manager to close irrelevant stories, remove non‑replicable bugs, and restore backlog health.

  • Requirements Gathering & Process Mapping: Facilitated workshops with business and technical stakeholders to map current‑state workflows, identify gaps, and design future‑state processes using Miro, FigJam, and Lucidchart.

  • Market & Competitor Research: Conducted in‑depth analysis to identify product opportunities and inform strategic feature design. Presented findings to the Principal Product Manager with actionable recommendations that influenced roadmap priorities.

  • Cross‑Functional Alignment: Ensured proposed features balanced business objectives with technical feasibility, aligning priorities across engineering, design, and product leadership.

  • Delivery Communication: Prepared high‑quality collateral—including screenshots, demo videos, and slides—for regular sprint demos and Product & Tech Forum presentations, showcasing progress and securing stakeholder engagement.

Led the end‑to‑end project management and delivery of Repora, a mobile and web app designed for SMEs in the Australian pest control industry. Managed the project from concept to launch, aligning delivery milestones with business goals and ensuring a smooth rollout for key clients.

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Defined the product vision, developed wireframes (Lucidchart, Adobe XD), and built the delivery roadmap with clear milestones and timelines.

  • Scope & Requirements Management: Captured and translated functional and non‑functional requirements into actionable development tasks, ensuring scope clarity.
