AP+ mandated an industry-wide change designed to give Australians greater confidence when making payments by performing a name check against the BSB and account number provided. The goal was to reduce the anonymity scammers exploit when convincing victims to send funds to fraudulent account numbers.
My Role
I supported this initiative in its early stages by conducting high-level business requirement gathering and documentation. Since AP+ provided clear UX and UI guidelines, my focus was on performing gap analysis and determining how the payee lookup feature would integrate into our existing Internet Banking payment journey.
Outcome
This work is still in technical delivery. Although I moved on before its release, I’m proud to have contributed to the requirement gathering and early business process mapping that set the project up for success.
